Over 60 market leaders from companies such as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Countrywide, JP Morgan Chase, Washington Mutual, Standard & Poors, TransUnion, Factual Data, BCE Emergis, and Stewart Mortgage Information expressed their views through a variety of panel discussions and presentations on a variety of mortgage technology topics. Items discussed included: Collateral Scoring, Automated Underwriting, Forecasting Market Stability, and AVM Testing.

On Monday, Audience participation was at its highest during a discussion centered on the intricacies of a possible Collateral Score. Representatives from Fannie Mae, Washington Mutual, Standard & Poor's and JP Morgan Chase shared their opinions and fielded questions from the audience.

Tuesday afternoon focused on Valuation Forecasting and "Looking under the Hood" of Automated Valuation Models (AVMs). AVM methodologies were revealed as industry experts explained how values are generated and suggested best practices for AVM testing. White papers were presented outlining AVM testing basics all the way through advanced, multi-tiered testing procedures. "We all benefit from opening the AVM black box and standardizing testing procedures, " said Darius Bozorgi, President and CEO of Veros Software. "The information discussed was, and remains, extremely valuable for anybody using or interested in using alternative valuation products."

The objective of this annual conference is to provide the forum where mortgage lenders and vendors may openly discuss the current and future state of mortgage technology solutions (or lack thereof). By inviting all interested parties to attend and openly participate, questions are answered, solutions are discovered, and the industry as a whole advances.
